For those who wrestle with God — and won’t let go until they’re blessed.

Jacob came to the river Jabbok afraid, uncertain, and out of answers. His brother was coming with four hundred men. His own cleverness had run out. So he sent everything he owned across the river and stayed behind, alone, in the dark. And there a Stranger met him. They wrestled through the night.

Jacob did not leave that river the way he came. He left wounded, blessed, and most of all, changed. He walked into the sunrise with a limp, a new name, and the unmistakable mark of a very personal encounter with God.

The deepest lessons of faith aren’t learned when the road is easy. They are learned in the dark places, when our strength fails, our answers disappear, and all that remains is the question of whether we will let go or keep holding on. The Jabbok is that road, the place where human strength runs out…

…and God is still there.
